Lord Davies is a Partner and the Chairman of Corsair Capital, a private equity firm specialising in financial services. He is also the Chairman of LetterOne, an Adviser to Teneo and the Chairman of UK India Business Council. Lord Davies has a wide range of interests, including being Chairman of the Royal Academy of Arts Trustees. He was Minister for Trade, Investment, Small Business and Infrastructure from January 2009 until May 2010.
Prior to that, he was Chairman and previously CEO, and served on the Board of Standard Chartered for over 12 years.
He was awarded a CBE for his services to the financial sector and the community in Hong Kong in June 2002 where he served as a member of the HK Exchange fund for seven years. Lord Davies is also a JP in Hong Kong.
Spencer Fung is Li & Fung Group CEO and is leading the 110-year-old company through its transformation to create the supply chain of the future to help the Company’s customers navigate the digital economy.
Since joining Li & Fung as a merchandiser, he has been involved in all aspects of the group’s operations, serving customers across three continents and managing acquisitions and integrations in over 20 countries.
Spencer is an independent non-executive director of Swire Properties Limited, a director of the Young Presidents’ Organization and a member of the General Committee of The Hong Kong Exporters’ Association. He is a member of the Hong Kong – United States Business Council and also a member of the Board of Trustees at Northeastern University.
James B. Downing is non-executive Chairman of Native Land Limited, a leading UK based residential and mixed used property development company; non-executive Deputy Chairman of Andrew Martin, a leading UK home furnishings business; non-executive Director of Cydar Medical, the world’s first company to use cloud software to deliver fully automated 3D medical imaging; and non-executive Director of UK Agricultural Finance, a lender dedicated to the agricultural sector across the UK.
From 2001 to 2003, Mr Downing was Deputy Head of JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s European Investment Banking group and prior to the merger of JP Morgan & Co. with Chase Manhattan Bank in 2000 he was Co-Head European Investment Banking and Head of European M&A at Chase Manhattan.
William Lyon is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to BCG’s incorporation, William held a number of operational and business development roles for Jardine Matheson over eleven years in its Dairy Farm, Jardine Restaurant and Aviation groups. During his time with the Jardine Restaurant group, he was responsible for the successful acquisition of KFC Taiwan. In 2012, William was appointed as General Manager of IKEA, overlooking all IKEA stores in Hong Kong.
William has lived in Asia for over twenty years. He speaks Mandarin and holds a B.A. (Hons) degree from the University of Leeds.
Jack Harrison joined in 2015 as Business Development Director, leading Jamie’s new market opening in Taiwan. Prior to that, Jack worked for three years in Taiwan as the Development Director for KFC (Jardine Matheson) and was responsible for a 125-store portfolio. Jack began his career as a Strategy Consultant with Accenture. He spent 4 years in various international assignments and was posted to Beijing, China for two years supporting multi-national new market entry.
Jack obtained a B.A. First Class Honours in Politics and Theology from the University of Bristol. He has lived in Asia for over ten years and speaks fluent business Mandarin.
Zelinda Ng is the Finance Director of BCG, having joined the Group in March 2016. A certified accountant, she was previously at TMF Group where she served as Finance Director, CFO of Asia-Pacific, the Head of Client Services, and then Head of Operations. She was also Treasurer of the Hong Kong Association of Business and Professional Women.
Zelinda earned her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Exeter and has an MBA from the University of Manchester. Zelinda speaks Mandarin and Cantonese.
With over 12 years-experience, Samuel Lo is Director of Operations at BCG having joined the group in October 2017. He began his career in hospitality as a corporate trainee at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in 1989. Most recently, Samuel has been General Manager for Zuma, Aqua Group and then Group Operations Manager of Brand Development for Buzz Concepts.
Samuel graduated from the University of Calgary with a B.S. in Business Administrations and Hotel & Restaurant Management. Samuel speaks Cantonese.
